Tennis Academy News
The Tennis Academy was privileged to have Dustin Taylor join them for practice December 19th. Dustin grew up in Lake Oswego and was a top ranked junior in country before earning a scholarship to Nick Bolletierri’s Tennis Academy at the age of 14. Dustin earned a scholarship to the University of Tulsa where he was a quarterfinalist and Division I All-American. Dustin has been coaching on the professional tour since 2006. He has coached 4 men into the top 200 in the world, noteably Robert Kendrick to a career high of 69 earlier in 2009. His players have 7 professional titles and 12 runner up appearances. He also coached the New York Sportimes of World Team Tennis, starring John McEnroe, to a semifinal appearance in 2008.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the Academy to receive Dustin’s insight to the game of tennis and his philosophy on life. Everyone had a fun time learning and eventually playing games with Dustin.
